Josh Stainer
Theatre Director
Josh Stainer is an award-winning theatre director, producer and writer based in London whose diverse theatre work ventures to present provocative stories which break past the boundaries of genre. Presenting work across the UK, Josh’s creative repertoire is focussed on challenging social norms through innovative production concepts for inter-generational audiences.
Between his two companies, Choir Boys Productions and Hedge Maze Theatre, and his work as an assistant director, Josh is dedicated to working with emerging artists, interrogating ideas surrounding gender, sexuality and the modern world through his artistic endeavours.
Josh has directed for prestigious venues, including Theatre503, Riverside Studios and Underbelly.
He is currently undertaking an MA in Directing at LAMDA.
