Josh Stainer

Josh Stainer is an award-winning director, producer and writer based in London whose diverse theatre and film work ventures to present provocative stories which break past the boundaries of genre. Presenting work across the UK, Josh’s creative repertoire is focussed on challenging social norms and amplifying diverse voices for cross-generational audiences.

With his two companies, Choir Boys Productions and Hedge Maze Theatre, Josh is dedicated to working with emerging young artists, exploring complex themes such as gender and sexuality through his artistic endeavours.

Josh has worked with prestigious venues, including Contact Theatre (Manchester), Waterloo East Theatre (London) and Underbelly.

He is currently undertaking an MA in Directing at LAMDA.
